Overview

Escape to the birthplace of Taoism on this full-day hike to Mount Qingcheng. Walk ancient stone paths through misty cypress forests, visit secluded Taoist temples, and reach the summit at Laojun Pavilion for panoramic views.

Itinerary

Depart Chengdu at 7:30 AM for the 1.5-hour drive to Mount Qingcheng. Hike 4-6 hours on stone steps through cypress forests, visit Tianshi Cave, and reach Laojun Pavilion at 1,260m. Return to Chengdu by evening.
