What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept international credit cards (Visa, Mastercard), PayPal, and bank transfers. For Chinese payment methods, we also accept WeChat Pay and Alipay. A 30% deposit confirms your booking, with the balance due 14 days before departure.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Free cancellation up to 30 days before departure (full refund minus processing fee). 50% refund for 15-30 days before. No refund for cancellations within 14 days. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.

Do I need a visa to visit Sichuan?

Most international travelers need a Chinese tourist visa (L-visa). We can provide invitation letters and itinerary documents to support your application. Some nationalities qualify for the 144-hour transit visa waiver through Chengdu — contact us to check eligibility.

What do I need to know about altitude?

Many of our trips go to 3,000m+ altitude. We design itineraries with gradual acclimatization, and our guides carry oxygen canisters. Read each trip's difficulty level for altitude details. If you have heart or respiratory conditions, consult your doctor first. Level 5 trips require prior high-altitude experience.

What should I pack?

Pack layers! Sichuan's climate varies dramatically by region and altitude. Essentials: comfortable walking shoes, rain jacket (especially May-September), sun protection, and a warm layer for evenings (even in summer). For high-altitude trips (Level 4-5), bring thermal layers, gloves, and a warm hat. We'll send a detailed packing list after booking.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes! Let us know in advance about any dietary needs — vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, allergies, etc. We'll work with restaurants and homestays to ensure you're well-fed. Sichuan cuisine is surprisingly adaptable.

Is WiFi available during trips?

In cities and towns, yes. In remote areas like the Tibetan grasslands or deep mountain valleys, mobile signal can be limited. Your guide will carry a portable WiFi hotspot where coverage exists. Consider this a chance to disconnect!

What if there's an emergency during the trip?

All our guides are trained in first aid and carry comprehensive medical kits. We have 24/7 emergency support and established relationships with local hospitals. For remote areas, we have evacuation protocols. Travel insurance with medical coverage and evacuation is included in all multi-day trips.

Level 1-2 trips are great for families. Level 3 trips work for families with older children (12+). Level 4-5 trips are not recommended for children under 16. We can always tailor an itinerary for your family's needs — just use the Custom Trip form.
