Overview

A 2-day journey to two UNESCO World Heritage sites. Stand before the 71-meter Leshan Giant Buddha carved into a cliff face, then ascend Mount Emei, one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains.

Itinerary

Morning departure from Chengdu (2h drive). Boat cruise to view the 71m Leshan Giant Buddha. Afternoon visit to Buddha park and Lingyun Temple. Transfer to Emeishan.

Early start. Park shuttle and cable car to Golden Summit (3,079m). Visit Huazang Temple with golden Samantabhadra statue. Enjoy the "Sea of Clouds." Return to Chengdu by evening.

Quiet, beautiful and very well organized

Leshan and Emei can feel overwhelming on paper, but the team made it easy. The timing, hotel advice and local guide were excellent. It felt peaceful, private and deeply connected to the place.
