Morning pickup from your hotel at 8:00 AM. Head to the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (30 min drive) to see pandas during their most active morning feeding time. After lunch, visit Wuhou Shrine and stroll through Jinli Ancient Street. End the day with an optional Sichuan hotpot dinner.

Perfect first day in Chengdu
The panda base was wonderful, but the real value was how smooth the day felt. We avoided the worst crowds, had a relaxed lunch, and learned much more about Chengdu than we expected from a one-day trip.
